The Mount Baker Theatre organization exists to provide arts, entertainment, and social interaction through a wide variety of programs, and it preserves the restored historic Mount Baker Theatre as a home for local performing arts organizations, film, a venue for touring performers, and community events.

An intimate 90-seat venue that recalls the small art houses of the '60s and '70s, providing local film-goers an opportunity to see independent, foreign and documentary releases not shown at other local cinemas.

Established by Ryan Stiles, The Upfront Theatre is an 85 seat cabaret-style venue offering live improv comedy every Friday and Saturday evening. Performers from all over the northwest as well as local talent present many styles of improv comedy ranging from short form games to one act improvised plays, musicals and competitive improv.

Village Books is a community-based, independent bookstore located in the Historic Fairhaven district. Our Literature Live program hosts local, regional and national authors nearly every day of the week for high-quality and diverse author programs, readings, talks, slideshows and signings.
